Alright, that song it is. I also took off Metallica's One for now.
Dean: Indeed! I'm glad you thought it sounded 4th of July-ish. I couldn't find any good patriotic music that didn't sound too overdone or too midi-file or something. Trumpets are usually pretty good for that sort of thing.

Nice choice of patriotic music, Kase. We should've changed the background back to Snuff with the American flag again for the day. If I'd been on earlier I probably would have.

Thanks, guys.
Eve: Lol, that would have been good! Snuff. The best patriot of us all.

I'm really loving that "O Death" song in the newest Supernatural promo. What does anyone else think about putting it on the player for a while?

Good idea, I'm all for it. I wouldn't mind us taking down Paint it Black now, either. It's been up for a long time, considering it's not even a Supernatural song.

So, I went out looking for the song "O death', but couldn't find the version from the Supernatural trailer. Apparently, they had the song especially rewritten and resung for this trailer. They say that the song will be available for download eventually, but as of now, all they have is the trailer version.
I might just put that up on the jukebox if it's not been released by the time our video player changes previews, but for now the only place to enjoy that perfectly eerie song is on our vid player. Sorry, guys!

Wow, that's pretty cool that they came up with their own song for the trailer. Or was it done by someone else first? Was there an older version that was any good they could use?
I agree that it was an awesome song, though. We should totally get it up eventually.

Isn't it? Maybe the CW is finally realizing that they've got an awesome show on their channel. ...The only one in my opinion, but nobody kill me for that.
NOTE! "Eye of the Tiger "and "Highway to Hell" have been repaired. It might take a while for the changes to take (according to the myflashfetish site), so be patient!
EDIT Sept3: O Death by Jen Titus has now been added to the player! Awesome song.

I'm so glad that you managed to get it up, Kase! This is probably my favorite song of the moment. I wonder if they'll use it in an episode too...

All right, guys!
Since it is far enough from Halloween that we should probably take down the Halloween music the question now is this: What, pry tell, should we have up there?
Kansas's "Carry On.." is a necessity I think (unless I'm majorly outvoted).
As unofficial DJ, I'm taking requests for a good four more songs. What do you guys think?

Since it's basically the theme song of the season (and, I think, a fan favorite) we might want to put "O Death" back up there. Besides that, though, we should go back to more classic tunes. Something like "Back in Black" or "Bad Moon Rising", I think.

Yeah, we definitely need some classic tunes, but I agree with you on O Death. Even though the show isn't being nearly creepy enough to deserve it right now, it's still an awesome song.

Ok, guys. There have been changes made to the site that hosts our jukebox. Apparently the songs had been coming mainly from Youtube and Youtube has decided that the video footage attached to the audio must also be played.
This means, though I believe the songs still on there are still working, we can no longer add songs to it.
So our options are as follows:
A) leave the jukebox as is until the host site completely gets rid of it (which it may or may not do)
B) switch over to a video player, which will look similar to the one we have now but play the video attached to it as well. This might be an official video from the band or it might be something fan-made depending on what's out there. The player will also be a bit bigger than the one we have now which will make the left-hand column wider than it already is.
C) we find another player. I've done some searching already and haven't found anything quite as nice as the one we have now, but I'm willing to keep searching and if you guys find or know of another host site, that'd be great.
My first reaction to a video player is that it would be quite annoying. I like the small, simple, audio player that we have now. On the other hand, it's not like we have to sit and stare at it if it's there. We might be able to put up our site videos on there as well. Maybe have a video of the month or something. Again, that's if we can even find them...
SO! What say the people?
...That's you guys.

I'm really sad to hear about that, since I adore our little audio player the way it is. Then again, I can see some fun possibilities in having a video player - like you said, to have the option of playing one of our official site videos might be fun... how big and chunky would the video player have to be?
My second question is, if we take the video away to test the vid player and don't like it, can we get it back the way it is? If not, my vote is just to keep it the way it is for now.

There's actually a player that has a style very similar to this one, but is a little bigger.
I don't know we'd be able to get it back if we took it down to experiment, but I might be able to make a second player in the sidebar. Maybe I'll try that as an experiment. See how it looks and whether it's worth it.

Yeah, I'd like to see what the new one looked like before I made a decision, but I wouldn't be totally opposed to the concept of a (small!) vid player. And having one or two of the promo vids would be fun too, though I'd still like some of our classic songs on as well.

They got rid of my music?? That's stupid. I'm all for upgrades and stuff, but this is not what I'd call an upgrade. So is that what the stripey video player over on the side is? That's not too bad, I guess. Is there a way to make it mono-colored rather than striped? I do like that we'd be able to have the site vids right there, that's kinda cool. But we've got to keep the music there too, that should be the main thing. Maybe a person/Path vid of the month amongst the music. If possible, I'd vote for official music videos for the music. Uh, so, I guess my vote is: if we can find another pure music player, then we should go for that, but if not, that music player over there seems ok.
