SO! now that we're finally looking toward posting a lot more frequently I'd love to hear everyone's thoughts about how our arc should go next "season"! Obviously we've got some of it worked out and a lot will come down to how things go in-RP (or else where would the fun be?), but if there's anything specific that might require group pre-planning that you want to happen (maybe something specific to your character) or if there are any other characters you'd like to bring in or any main arc ideas that you're dying to try out, toss your ideas up here! Maybe it'll spark something the rest of us haven't thought of. Personally, while I'm not sure any of us want to take on extra characters, I can think of two people there could be a lot of potential in bringing in. Thomas Zane: Unless you've been following my posts religiously you probably won't remember who he is. Eve mentioned him a long time ago as sort of a throwaway comment, contrasting him to Molly Rourke and basically suggesting he was an open-minded, tolerant Hunter who'd helped her out in the past. He could be useful in a fight or information-wise, and potentially a fun foil to play off Molly with. Oh, and in my head he looks like Coby Bell. Hope Taylor: Kasen's much older and long-lost sister. Check out Kasen's profile for a look at the tiny bit of tantalizing history behind this character. Personally I'd love to see what made her leave home, whether it had to do with the supernatural (apparently their parents were in the know, if not practitioners) and where she ended up. Kasen's finally opening up a bit emotionally, and bringing his sister in would be a nice way for us to dig into his family history and give him a more well rounded character. (And who knows what else Hope might bring into play if she comes...) So those are my two major picks for next season. Oh! And I'd also love to see Alonna confront her mother; there's some great backstory there too that hasn't really been brought up in-story. Right now there are still a few big gaps in Alonna's knowledge, and it should be an interesting scene... especially after the events of the "finale."

All of these could be fun if someone's up to play the characters!! Anyone have friends who would be into RPing the slowest (but clearly the best) role play of all time? I definitely need to get Alonna back to L.A. at some point. She's gonna be dying for answers and poor Cristine's got a lot to answer for! Which does make me wonder how we're planning on starting next "season." Are we going to have some kind of a time jump? You know, will it be like six months later or are we just popping starting up right afterwards, y'know? That's my most important question, and I think it'll affect how most characters start off in POTF: season 2. ^_^

All good questions! I would definitely be interested to see more of these characters' backstories or see those backstories come forward.
Eve: Hah, Coby Bell! You know I remember you mentioning Thomas Zane at some point. I pictured him as being older for some reason. I guess because in a mentoring role an older guy just seemed right. But I like that actor. He's Jesse from Burn Notice! Good character.
Alonna: Do it!
As for the jumping ahead, I have ideas for both sides of that. If you don't jump ahead, you can see the development of characters and the progression of their goals and motives. If you do jump ahead you can see the result of stuff that's happened and then discuss what made things the way they are. I feel like jumping ahead will require more coordination between us and our characters in terms of where we want them to end up.
Personally, I say we wait until we finish the 'season' before we decide. By then we'll have a better idea of where our characters are at (and we'll know what actually happens in the plot). I'm pretty sure most of you guys don't know exactly what we've got planned. And even us who do have some exciting details know that stories don't always end up going in the direction you think they will. Which is part of the excitement of RP's of course! Who knows how things will end up. :: cue mysterious laugh::

Well, remember Eve's nineteen years old. So someone in his mid-to-late 30s is going to seem like an "older guy" to her. As for the time jump notion - it'd definitely be nice to put some time between events; give characters/relationships etc time to grow offscreen (it'd be really nice to be able to say Eve and Kasen have known each other for more than two days, that's for sure.) But I agree; we'll have to see how things wrap up before deciding.

Oh y'know what we need, guys? The Wild Hunt has to show up again sometime. I feel like the Earl King will have this sort've grudging respect for Kasen now, maybe he'll show up with vital news to pay off his debt if he's freed from the Cult, or just pop in to save the day during an epic battle against Amazarak or something.

Alright, everyone, we're pretty much at the end line here. Before we finish up, we need to know a little more about where we want to be when we start up again. Who wants to be heading off with who and what note do you want to leave the "season" on? A lot of this can be decided on a personal basis, but if you have ideas that require another character's involvement make sure you get together and work the details out!
Also, any more last minute suggestions about the plot or characters for the next arc?
Otherwise, Kasen and I will just work out the timing and let you know what's what soon.

Sam: Oh that would have been cool if the Hunt had showed up! That was a neat arc. Though I think it did turn out pretty exciting this way. The Hunt should definitely show up again later!! Eve and all: So has it been decided how long the break is going to be? It'll probably be good for a little time to go by. I was watching some season one Supernatural the other day and it really reminded me how little they knew then about some of the stuff that's old hat to them now! Demon stuff especially. And just about everything with YED and Sam's demon blood they know nothing about! I'm not sure how I want my character to go at this point. She's been a Puppet for a long, long time and definitely has some repression issues to deal with. It might be healthy for Kasen actually to help her through some of that, but it probably depends on how this season actually ends.

Yeah, that's exactly what I'm talking about - we need to know who's going to go off and spend time with who, as well as how much time we want to go by in-between. I wrote half a post as Eve in The Prestige and then realized I wasn't sure if Kasen and I even wanted to end up together after all this, or if we should part ways for a while.
To a certain extent things can be decided later, but we need to know who's walking away with who at the end of The Prestige.
Some time will be going by - as in, it won't pick up the next morning, but we haven't finalized whether we want it to be a few weeks or a few months in-between yet. (And, of course, if anyone wants to do a "flashback thread" like Burning Down History or Worlds Collide, telling what happens in the immediate aftermath they're completely free to; it just won't match up with the "current timeline".)

I'm cool with just about anything. My character can probably go a few different ways at the moment. He's sort of at a precarious point. I'd like for Eve and Kasen to interact either by the very end of the season or at some point between seasons or both. I think they're pals now despite the shovel attacks and certain werewolf people trying to eat certain non-werewolf people. *Looks at a certain someone pointedly* Might be a bit strained, but they've been through some stuff. I'd like to see what happens. I was also thinking Kasen might be willing to help Tasha out. Try to help her make sense of life as a non-Puppet and all that, but you are making that a bit difficult, Tash, seeing as how you're running away! We could set it up so that she didn't get very far before realizing she was in the middle of nowhere or Kasen/the Winchesters/whoever go searching for her afterward and find her and take it from there. What about anyone else? I know a certain someone is bodyless and Chase is now without a Cult to follow or brother to bother. The Winchesters need to brush up on some supernatural knowledge and probably get to the point where Dean tells Sam what their dad told him and all that good stuff. Molly has been spared by the werewolf she was hunting. Any plans for how that's going to affect her? She did save Sam and Kasen, whether she meant to or not, and she's probably got a semi-friend in Dean. Is that right? Anyone else with plans/characters/ideas? My input on the passage of time... I'm thinking about a month? Maybe a couple months if we want to finally get out of winter (what's it been? Five years?). That way everybody's healed up and has had time to learn a few things, have some time for flashback opportunity as well as time to become better acquainted or to become more bitter or whatever the case may be.

Are we really gonna wait that long? I kinda like the idea of starting up right after the end of the season. Though I suppose it would be nice to get out of this never ending winter.

Well, I don't think I have the issue of having to go off with anyone at the end of this. Unless Sam'd like to go on a road trip with me for a bit. But I like the idea of a decent time jump. It'll give time for our characters to deal with what went down and grow a bit "offscreen" ('cause you know if we start right up again there's a good chance that we'll still be on day four of this story by 2015), and to heal up so Kasen doesn't still have my knife cuts or whatever when the next arc starts. And it took a whole season to hunt down YED on the show, so it wouldn't be crazy unrealistic if it took a couple months for any of us to get on Amazarak's trail.

Yeah, that's true. I was just thinking it'd be good to have the topic hot in their minds. But I guess we really should let people heal and get supernaturally savvy and all that.
