Dean nodded. "Frankly three of us is going to be overkill. I think we need two to make a play at the mansion, see what's going on, and the third should get supplies. We're low on salt and if we're dealing with demons, we're going to need some," he replied. Turning to Sam, he continued. "You and I'll go to ground zero and see what's going on."
Standing, Dean pointed a finger towards Jonas. "You can take care of the grocery list, can't you, Preacher?"

Jonas sat forward in his seat. "Now wait just a minute. You want to go up to that place and pretend to be priests and ...and you want me to go buy salt?" He stood up in frustration, though whether he was more frustrated at the idea of these people pretending to spread the word of God or at being left behind, he wasn't sure. Sam Winchester was right in a way about a little dishonesty vs saving lives. That was a fine line, however. Easy to misuse.
"Look, I think you're overlooking your greatest asset. If you want to do this, perhaps it would be wise to have an actual priest with you. Decrease the level of deceit just a bit. Have someone who has actually studied the teachings of the Bible do the talking while one of you do the... casing or whatever. I have a stake in this as well, after all. I promised that girl I would find a way to help her."

Tensions were clearly on the rise, and they couldn't afford that right now. If Jonas decided to break from them and go in rogue, well... the last thing they needed right now was a bunch of random people trying to infiltrate this place at the same time. The surest way for allies to accidentally end up killing each other was to not coordinate their efforts.
"That makes sense," he replied quickly, before Dean could respond. "These guys are bound to be more suspicious than your average door-to-door customers. If they start to nitpick, it'll be best to have Jonas on hand. Dean, you can handle the recon and I'll get the supplies."

Dean sighed. He didn't relish the idea of going in with a newbie. Sam might have abandoned his roots in the past, but the guy knew what to look for in a monster summoning or magic use a heck of a lot more than Jonas the Exorcist. And he trusted Sam to have his back more than this guy. But he also knew Sam had a better chance of picking up any other supplies they might need to deal with their impending situation than the guy who had no training in that area.
"Fine, you're with me. You can distract them with your Bible talk," Dean agreed with a nod to Jonas. He moved to the drawers between the room's twin beds and pulled open the top drawer. Sure enough there was a copy of the King James Bible, which Dean promptly confiscated. "We'll head out Asap. Sam, we still got some Holy Water in the trunk, right?"

Sam nodded.
"And if we don't, we can always get Jonas to bless you some snow."
He smiled toward the priest to let him know he was kidding, before standing up and gathering up what he'd need for a supply run.
"I'll head to to the stores and meet you back here say... two hours, tops." Dean would be taking the car to get to the mansion so Sam would have to hoof it to the nearest store. Still, a little fresh air and exercise might be just what he needed to get him energized and focused for a big showdown.
Tonight was the night it was all going to end. Tonight, he'd be avenging his parents, avenging Jess. Finally getting his life back. ...He needed to figure out what that meant. A few months ago it would've meant going back to school, but now he wasn't so sure.
Yeah, a long, cold walk would definitely help sort things out.
